Automatic Acquisition System
Fishmetrics' Automatic acquisition system consists of a device placed over a box of unit responsible for the acquisition of the data (2D and 3D images of the fish), composed of an RGB camera, a depth sensor and a computer. The system uses infrared light, thus is non-damaging for the fish. The automatic system uploads the data to a remote database, where samplers can access the data and measure the fish. This cloud application can also store all the relevant metadata, including the fish species, vessel identification, capture location, fishing gear and more.

In this browser application, users can select the fish samples, classify the specimens, measure them, assign measurement tasks to remote samplers, generate detailed reports and compute detailed statistics on the data.
